Solicitor MAŁGORZATA FERGUSON

I am a graduate of the law faculty of the European University of Law and Administration in Warsaw. I studied for my master’s degree at the University’s London branch. I defended my master's thesis on European I.V.F. regulations under the supervision of Prof. dr hab. Waldemar Gontarski. I gained practical experience during my studies by giving legal advice provided at the University Law Clinic in London.

After graduation, I ran my own legal advice service, helping Poles living in U.K. I prepared legal documents and supported clients in proceedings before English courts as a McKenzie Friend.
During 2018-2020, as a solicitor trainee, I gained experience in law firms in Chrzanów, Poland and in the office of the solicitor Marek Krzeczek in Jaworzno, Poland. In May 2021, I passed the bar exam and was entered on the list of solicitors of the Bar Association in Katowice. I have broad experience in criminal, civil and family law as well as cross border family law disputes.

During my legal practice in London, I gained experience in conducting proceedings based on the Convention on the Civil Aspects of International Child Abduction, known as The Hague Convention. I prepared applications to the European Court of Human Rights in Strasbourg. I am fluent in written and spoken English, including legal English.

I have a strong work ethic guided by the principals of being accurate, reliable, and meticulous. I always provide an individual approach to each case I take on. I cooperate with specialists in other fields – prosecutors, detectives, translators, notaries both in Poland and U.K. The Law Firm provides legal assistance to individual clients and business entities in many areas of law, through representing the client at every stage of court proceeding, representing the client in mediation, preparation of pleadings at every stage of the procedure, including undertaking out-of-court activities for the benefit of the client.
